Astro weather for week of December 19th-26th

Let’s check in with the astrology of this week! 

We have the New Moon at 28 Sagittarius, conjunct the Galactic Centre, and Juno, goddess of love and relationships. Square to Neptune and Saturn, we must beware the beer goggles and disillusionment this weekend, even though there is a palpable sense of excitement. For some, it might be mean some good old intoxication so bear that in mind! Moon, Sun, and Venus all join Mars in Capricorn as we pass the Solstice, and 3I Atlas passes us, switching the energy from fire to grounded earth. Hopefully, the pace will settle down and become less hectic by next week.

Mercury squares the Nodes, so try to hold off any important communications around the 21st. This looks like a tense day, with high energy and potential for worry. Venus is squaring Saturn, and Jupiter is forming a tense link to wounded healer Chiron. People could blurt things out today that they don’t mean or haven’t really thought through, so go easy on others. It’s a good day to carve out some alone time and ponder, reflect, or quietly get things ready. The Capricorn Moon helps you stay focused. 

Tuesday and Wednesday are both productive days, with the airy Aquarius Moon helping us think, plan, and connect with others. By Christmas Day, the Moon shifts into dreamy Pisces, helping us feel connected, intuitive, and empathic towards others. A sextile to Mars brings a sense of magic to the day and gives us the energy to power through the festivities in good spirits. 

On Friday, Boxing Day, the Pisces Moon makes a lovely trine to Jupiter in Cancer, helping humanity to feel buoyant and good-natured as we celebrate with loved ones. It could be a Christmas to remember with the romantic Pisces Moon, so raise a glass or two and look forward to 2026, and the beginning of a brand new cycle.
