As October gets underway, we will be dealing with some unusual energies, especially on the weekend of October 4th.

Venus is conjunct the South Node, pulling the past into focus and forcing us to re-evaluate who and what will move forward with us into our next chapter. Yeah, it's pretty intense.

For some, it will be a time of letting go of past or current connections that are not aligned spiritually, emotionally, or physically, and thus not part of your pre-ordained destiny. For others, it may mean meeting a new person with whom you have a deep soul connection, one with whom you share an instant recognition and a lightning bolt of remembrance.

For the simps among us, it could be about reconnecting with a past person for another go on the karmic-cycle-merry-go-round, fuelled by nostalgia and a burning desire for some kind of closure.

Either way, your world can shift on its axis this weekend, something that was, is no more, and something that wasn't, suddenly is. The best way to navigate is to let go, trust, and remain open to change - including new people, connections, developments, and ideas.

The Venus/South Node conjunction can urge us to examine the past for answers, prompting us to confront or release something in order to achieve clarity before moving forward. It indicates closure, revisiting something painful, and clearing out any festering wounds within our psyche that prevent us from loving more fully, authentically, and deeply.

Mercury quincunx Saturn suggests that finding the right words may feel challenging, and we may need to have those difficult conversations that we find uncomfortable. Still, the truth is surfacing now, and burying feelings or ignoring the facts is no longer effective.

Uranus sextile Neptune is a spark of creative genius that can help us move into the new energy we crave. It can help us see past the fog of hazy memories and break free from our old restrictive patterns and old destructive ways. As the winds of change swirl all around, it can be helpful to hold onto our vision for the future and trust that it is unfolding as it is meant to.

The second aspect Uranus makes, a trine to Pluto, helps us feel our way into our determination, grit, and integrity. Yes, we have all made mistakes, and they have cost us relationships we didn't want to lose, but saying goodbye becomes an essential part of life once we understand that life is fluid and we have to flow with the tide.

Pluto helps us see a way through and offers us a way of integrating what we have learned through relating, showing how our dances with others shape our experience, and theirs, for our highest good. Pluto helps us let go, face the unknown, release the past, and have faith that our story is not yet over.

None of us gets to escape the connections that come to teach us the most. But standing in our power, practising self-love, non-attachment, and faith in the divine plan is a great way to navigate energies like this, so you don't get swept away in the moment.
